Iwo ha vinto solo l'Oscar per il sound editing! ç___ç

Beh, complimenti a tutti i sound editors del film, ma...UFFAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!  E l'avevo pure sognato stanotte che non vinceva nulla!! Premesso che non ho visto "The Departed" e nemmeno gli altri film che erano in gara, speravo comunque in un miracolo (e nell'amore che l'Academy prova per Zio Clint!XD)...

Ora sono curiosa di leggere la reazione di Nino sul suo Nikki...

Bene, gia' oggi sarei stata volentieri sotto le coperte tutto il giorno, in piu' questa notizia mi ha definitivamente rovinato la giornata!

Ieri finalmente siamo andate a vedere Iwojima, abbiamo abbassato di parecchio l'eta' media della sala! XD

Bellissimo...NINO!! Ho anche trovato il cd con la colonna sonora alla Ricordi, dopo che alla Fnac mi avevano detto che sarebbe arrivato tra una settimana... ureshii! La musica e' straziante....

Anche se non della prima, ma Lunedi' alle 15 finalmente vedro' Iwojima! Cioe', e' da un anno che aspetto quel film....GRAZIE FEDEEE!! *smack* Purtroppo niente Tekkonkinkreet, pasiensa...aspetto il dvd, almeno lo guardo con la voce di Nino! XD

Niente esame oggi, sono slittata a domani...sono l'ultima della mattinata, percio' credo che fino all'una non mi interroghino...CHE PAAALLEEEEEE!!! Non ce la faccio piu'...difatti adesso invece di ripassare son qui al pc XD

Ancora un piccolo sforzo...

Ora che mi sono ripresa, e sto iniziando a realizzare la cosa, riesco a ragionare a mente lucida...Nino verra' in Europa in qualita' di attore di un film molto acclamato dalla critica, di un certo spessore psicologico, e che tratta di una tematica parecchio seria...non verra' come membro degli Arashi, come idol, ma come co-protagonista di "Letters from Iwojima"!
Sarebbe poco rispettoso nei suoi confronti, nonche' nei confronti del resto del cast, iniziare a urlare e a sbraitare stile fangirl tredicenne...che e' una cosa divertentissima, ma da fare nel momento e nel luogo adatto! Per non parlare poi della cattiva impressione che ne riceveranno la stampa e i media presenti, se dovessero presentarsi orde di ragazzine impazzite con in mano il faccione di Nino sull'uchiwa...
Spero di non dover assistere a questa scena, di non dover vedere un Nino arrabbiato o peggio ancora imbarazzato! Non gioverebbe certo alla sua (si spera prospera) futura carriera cinematografica... da parte mia cerchero' di contenermi il piu' possibile, e so che sara' difficile! Ma e' doveroso mostrare rispetto, e fare bella figura (tanto piu' che probabilmente nessuno, Nino compreso, si aspetta di trovare della fan ad attenderlo!).

D'altro canto, ho un timore di diverso genere: Nino e' e rimarra' pure sempre un Johnnys, quindi niente autografi, niente foto, niente "contatto fisico" coi fan, ecc ecc...io spero vivamente che in questo frangente sia lui che lo staff si dimostrino un po' piu' disponibili! Perche' insomma, io i miei bei soldi li spendo per andarlo a vedere...non ci voglio uscire a cena, ma almeno un autografo e uno scambio di qualche parolina si! Una foto poi sarebbe il massimo, me ne vanterei a vita! (ma con chi, poi? Chi lo vuole Nino, manco fosse Brad Pitt! ) .
Ecco, tutto qui...e speriamo di trovare i biglietti per la prima!  

Sono andata a prendere la piantina di Berlino, dopo mi devo mettere li e segnare tutti gli indirizzi che ci servono...dai, se ho girovagato per Tokyo dovrei farcela anche in Crucchia!

Partiamo il 10 verso l'1 del pomeriggio da Linate...3 giorni di "NINO MADNESS" e il 13 pomeriggio siamo di nuovo in Italia...abbiamo un ostello con camera doppia e servizi, niente male! Pare anche vicino ai cinema...ora ci manca il biglietto per lo spettacolo, in vendita dal 6...speriamo in bene!

Che giornata psicologicamente estenuante... *_______________*

Fatemi andare a dormire, che non capisco piu' nulla...

La cosa si sta concretizzando...l'11 e il 12 potrei essere a Berlino a salutare Nino sul tappeto rosso!

E' stata una giornata indicibile...ho finto di studiare (e sono pure andata in uni per non avere distrazioni!), ma la mente continuava a vagare...aereo, ostello, i biglietti per la prima...li troveremo? E Nino sara' anche all'esterno del cinema, stile Hollywood? Non so neanche com'e' fatta Berlino...speriamo che la mia amica in Erasmus ci dia una mano!

Quanti se e quanti ma...ma io ci DEVO essere! Assolutamente! E' un'occasione unica...e se non le faccio adesso queste cose, quando le faccio?

Kazunari Ninomiya, 23, expands an already long résumé as the "Iwo Jima" soldier on whose visage war's toll is etched.

Tokyo — Kazunari Ninomiya's face is unblemished, almost fragile, a porcelain slate of innocence (addirittura!XD) onto which director Clint Eastwood projects the emotional toll of war in "Letters From Iwo Jima." Ninomiya plays Saigo, an apolitical baker conscripted into the doomed defense of the island, fighting not for the generals or the emperor but only to survive and return to his wife and infant daughter. Through his eyes we see battle, its cynicism, fear, the hatreds and pity. An unknown actor to American audiences, his face was perfect for Eastwood's Everyman.

But in Japan, Ninomiya is a mega-star, a face you can't avoid (beh oddio, non esageriamo!XD Non e' poi cosi' famoso..) . This wisp of a 23-year-old has been in the business since he was 14 (schiavizzato da Johnny a fare lo sfondo!). Big screen and small. Theater. A singer and dancer in Arashi (Storm) <- pure la traduzione!XD, one of Japan's most popular male idol bands (and the Japanese love their idol bands) <- anch'io le amo!*_* . Ninomiya does TV commercials. He does radio shows, and he's a regular presence in Japan's mass-selling fan magazines.(di cui evita accuratamente il nome...POTATO non farebbe una bella impressione!XDD) Even his voice is in demand, heard as one of the leading characters in the feature-length anime "Tekkon Kinkreet." The kid likes to work. (e certo, e' giapponese!! Voi stolti americani non sapete cos'e' la dura vita di un idol...)

"It's different from wanting to be a star — I've always wanted to create something, I want to share the joy of creation with others," Ninomiya said between appearances last month for the Tokyo premiere of "Letters," which remains at the top of the Japanese box office weeks after release. The first screenings had left several young women in the audience in tears, though it was hard to tell whether they were crying over Saigo's story or from excitement when Ninomiya appeared on stage to take a bow with his costars after the credits. (addirittura piangono!XD No dai, spero per il film...)

Cute? Well, yes <- you bet he's cute for God's sake! Why am I typing English now? XD

Creativity doesn't usually come high on the list of skills needed to succeed in Japanese pop culture (in effetti...), where cuteness is prized above all (KAWAIIII!). Ninomiya is a product (si cos'e', di plastica? XDD Un immagine orrenda si e' formata nella mia testa, una specie di catena di montaggio di idols...XD) of the artist management company Johnny & Associates, founded in 1963 by California-born Johnny Kitagawa, which has produced the cutest of the cute in the boy idol industry.

With his stable of talent — talento as it is known here — Johnny's exerts extraordinary power over Japanese entertainment.(Johnny controlla il mondo!) Kitagawa's formulaically engineered idol bands, beginning with the Four Leaves in 1968 and continuing today with the omnipresent SMAP and a steady stream of other squeal-inducers like Arashi, don't just sing. Selected from thousands of auditioning teens, the idols are trained to dance, act and handle themselves on TV as part of Kitagawa's grooming for stardom. He uses established stars to leverage TV exposure for newcomers, a grip over the celebrity-thirsty networks that is commercially successful but also suggests that Johnny's is more factory than talent incubator.

Yet many here argue that Ninomiya is different from most of the cookie-cutter cuties of the idol world. He acted before he sang, debuting on stage rather than TV, in a production of "Stand by Me" at age 14. He had the River Phoenix role. <- per carita', non parliamo di DIFFERENZE! Che poi succede un casino! Tutti sono uguali e tutti sono sullo stesso piano (non e' veroooo -_-)

"Nino stood out early," says Julie Fujishima, a vice president at Johnny's. "He came to us to become a talento, but it was obvious he had a talent for acting." Fujishima says Ninomiya's breakthrough came in a TV drama called "Amagigoe" that aired on New Year's Day 1998. "He was very special, very good, and it got everyone's attention." (mai visto questo dorama! >_<)

More TV dramas followed (TV tends to create bigger stars among Japanese fans than the movies do). And in 1999, Ninomiya became one of the five young stars selected by Johnny's to join Arashi, a J-pop troupe that made its singing and dancing debut on a cruise ship off Hawaii before it had a record out.

"I always liked singing," Ninomiya says. "When I was in the car with my family we'd always play music. I liked American bands, and I went to a Bon Jovi concert when they came to Tokyo Dome. Also Backstreet Boys. When I go to concerts by Japanese musicians, I tend to study them. But American musicians entertain me." <- XDDDD non credo a mezza parola!!! Stiamo parlando di Pelo!XD Pero' e' vero che sono andati al concerto dei BSB...per studiare il nemico!XD

A string of Arashi hits predictably followed, though the relentlessly bland J-pop is not really about the music but about the look. It was Jun Matsumoto, with his ripped abs, who emerged as the band's biggest heartthrob, its Davy Jones, to use a Monkees analogy. XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD MA DOVE SONO GLI ADDOMINALI?????

Arashi members have all cultivated different personalities for their fans, and Ninomiya is known as the "actor" in the group. (Ah si? o_O) He made his first movie in 2002, a supporting role in a drama called "Pikanchi, Life Is Hard, but Happy." (ma non era un supporting role! E' il film con tutti e 5 gli Arashini!) He continued to find theater roles, playing the James Dean role of Jim Stark in a two-month run of "Rebel Without a Cause" in 2005.

And this month, he starts a TV series called "Dear Father," in which he plays an apprentice chef working for a tough Tokyo master. He laughs when asked if he can cook. "No," he says as he emerges from the set's kitchen during a break in the shooting, his hands wet from washing dishes. "But the work is fun." (ma un po' sa cucinare dai! Perche' dice sempre di no? XD)

"There's a real personality to his acting," says Rieko Miyamoto, the show's director. "He can act with his mouth and his eyes." So Ninomiya was an obvious candidate when Eastwood sent out a casting call to Japanese actors for "Letters From Iwo Jima." In addition to his talent, the studio calculated that Ninomiya's J-pop aura might drag a younger crowd to the box office, a tactic that has paid off to some degree, though Warner Bros. exit figures still show that the bulk of the movie's Japanese audience is in its late 30s to early 50s.<- e beh, in fondo e' un film sulla seconda guerra mondiale!

Audition tapes were sent across the Pacific to the late Phyllis Huffman, the casting director who had been a longtime Eastwood collaborator. Johnny's had another of its stars in mind for the Saigo role (CHIIIIIII?? VOGLIO SAPEREEEE!!!) and Ninomiya was originally cast as Private Shimizu, the idealistic military policeman sent to Iwo Jima as punishment for showing mercy toward civilians. But Eastwood had not settled on his Saigo, and the director asked Ninomiya to read again for that part.

A personal connection

Like most young Japanese, Ninomiya had only a sketchy idea about the events at Iwo Jima in early 1945. Unlike most of his contemporaries, he at least knew where the tiny volcanic island is located because he has a map of Japan on the wall of his bathroom at home "and when I sit down, Iwo Jima is right in front of my eyes." (XDDDD Anche questa cosa mi fa molto America!)

He went into the role the way Japanese soldiers went to battle: unsure of the fate that awaited them, suppressing their emotions. Japanese directors like to exaggerate emotions, he says, cranking up the tears and the music. "They make movies with greater and greater emotion, and it's not realistic," Ninomiya says. "So if you make a movie [like 'Letters'] that is based on reality, some people will find it uninteresting. They will say I should have cried more in certain scenes." (Anche qui, mi sembra strano che abbia detto una cosa del genere...non e' da giapponese! Gliel'avranno estrapolata a forza...)

Ninomiya shed his tears after the film was in the can. His grandfather had been a soldier sent off to fight Japan's imperial wars. And he told his grandson about his war: stationed in the occupied Korean peninsula, taken prisoner by Soviet troops, incarcerated in Siberia.

Then the grandson, having played a suffering soldier facing slaughter in a hopeless cause, found himself one night watching another war drama on Japanese TV.

"I couldn't stop crying," he says. "I cried, because it was my grandfather's story." (io non l'ho mai saputa sta cosa del nonno...ç_ç)

Fa sempre impressione leggere di Nino in contesto non giapponese...come se si trattasse di 2 persone diverse! Credo che in questo giochi molto la differenza fra il mondo dello spettacolo americano o europeo e quello giapponese...se non vedi un idol in azione non riesci a capire di cosa si tratta! E quindi leggerlo qui fa strano...anche il modo di condurre le interviste e' diverso! Forse in America (anzi...sicuramente!) si fanno meno problemi a porre le domande, mentre questo povero tizio che ha scritto l'articolo si sara' visto recapitare in ufficio una serie di argomenti taboo da evitare (tipo: ma ce l'hai la fidanzata?)...speriamo che qualcuno lo legga! *___* E che ne appaiano altri su altre testate!

Yokatta...leggendo i vari blogs di critica cinematografica avevo perso le speranze per Iwo, lo davano tutti fuori! Dai dai, speriamo nell'Oscar come Miglior Film...non avendo visto nessuno dei nominati, faccio il tifo per Nino e soci!XD A proposito, niente nomination per lui...beh, razionalmente me lo aspettavo, ma ammetto che il mio cuoricino faceva tutum mentre annunciavano le nominations per "Actor in a Supporting role"...ci sarebbe voluto un miracolo! E peccato anche per Ken Watanabe...

QUI c'e' la lista completa delle nominations...vai che parte il toto-Oscar!XD

Ed ora la domanda del secolo...ci sara' Nino sul Red Carpet? Essendo che non e' direttamente coinvolto, forse ci sono vaghe speranze che il boss lo lasci andare...in fondo anche il Takuya era stato al Festival di Cannes a presentare "2046"...pero' il 21 Febbraio esce il singolo in Giappone, e quindi gli Arashini saranno super impegnati a girare tutti i programmi musicali giapponesi per la promozione! Oh senti, possono registrarli prima...o rimanere in 4, l'hanno gia' fatto! VOGLIO NINO ALLA CERIMONIAAAA!

Cmq pare scongiurato il lato negativo della faccenda, e cioe' le rumors riguardanti un possibile distacco dal Johnny's Jimusho da parte di Nino in caso di nomination...di questo sono parecchio felice!

Iwojima, il film che aspetto da ormai un anno, e' nelle mie mani...e adesso non lo voglio vedere! Perche' si vede e sente malissimo (dato che e' piratato dal cinema) e perche' non ci sono i sottotitoli...cosa vuoi che capisco io?

Uaaaah non so cosa fare...ma alcune scene con Nino me le sono guardate, oh si! Quel ragazzo si merita 1000 Oscar...speriamo abbia altre occasioni in futuro (e che il vecchiaccio non si metta in mezzo...), perche' per quest'anno e' andata...

Sono combattuta... e voi direte, "CAVOLI, CHE PROBLEMI!" XDD

In effetti...
